About
Every rule here came from a real mistake.
I'm Brian. I publish my own paperbacks on Amazon KDP, across kids, language and faith books, with dozens in print.
Publishing that many books taught me the same lesson over and over: most problems aren't creative ones. A title that's too long. A price one cent under the royalty line. A web address printed in a book that stopped working. A review page that asked for the wrong thing.
So I started writing every mistake down as a rule, and turning every rule a machine can check into a check. That list is past a hundred rules now, and it runs on every book I make.
Automated Publishers is where I share that system: free tools first, a video every week on one KDP problem, and a community for people who want the templates and a place to ask.
What you won't find here: income claims, paid reviews, or promises that a book sells itself. You'll find tools that catch real mistakes and an explanation of why each rule exists.
- From the rulebook
- RULEKDP counts the title and subtitle together: 200 characters, not 200 each.
- RULENever type a colon in the title field. Amazon adds its own.
- RULEA printed web address is permanent. Print one you own, never an Amazon link.
- RULEA QR code is proven by scanning it off the printed page, not by reading the file.
- RULEAsk readers for honest feedback. Never for stars, never for a reward.
- RULERead KDP's own help page before quoting a number. Rules change.
